His eligibility for the role is so strong that the authors of the show have changed the aesthetics of the main character of the series, adapting it to his physical features. In fact, it becomes the role of the alien protagonist Max Evans who was originally blond and with blue eyes but who with Jason completely changes style and physical appearance. The same Melinda Metz, creator of the original story from which the show is drawn, has not been able to see the character with a different face from that of Jason. The staff had found his Max.The show is originally broadcast by Warner Bros for two television seasons (the production company canceled it in the first season but, thanks to a protest by US fans, this was restored) until the final cancellation at the end of the second series. The third season is then produced and broadcast by the United Paramount Network, thanks once again to the loyalty of the fans who requested a further series to complete the events left pending from the second.Initially the UPN promises to the staff two series (a third and a fourth season) but the changes of direction within the UPN itself and the drops in the series are pushing the network to not only shorten the series to 18 episodes against 20 regular, but to permanently delete the show that then must shelve the idea of a fourth season scheduled but never turned.
