Bryan Guy Adams OC, OBC (Kingston, 5 November 1959) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and photographer.

In 1991 his single “Everything I Do” remained for sixteen consecutive weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart, a record still undefeated.

His fame grew to such an extent in North America thanks to the album, Cuts Like a Knife in 1983 and the album Reckless in 1984. In 1991 he published Waking Up the Neighbors, an album that included ” (Everything I Do) I Do It for You “, one of the best-selling singles in the world. In 1993 he published his first Greatest hits So Far So Good: the collection contains the unreleased single hit Please Forgive Me.

Record success reaches peaks in Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, India, Portugal, Germany and the United States. In over thirty-five years of career he has sold over 100 million records, including albums and singles, all over the world. In 2008 he ranks 38th on the list of All-Time Top Artists, during the 50th anniversary of the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. In 2015 he ranks 42nd on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Artists list. Since the beginning of his musical career, together with his friend Jim Vallance, he has written and co-produced songs for artists such as Kiss, Tina Turner, Motley Crue, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart , Bonnie Tyler, Loverboy, Carly Simon, Ronan Keating, Neil Diamond, Johnny Hallyday, Sugar just to name a few. The Adams-Vallance partnership has won the most SOCAN Awards in history: 28.

For his contributions to music, he received numerous awards and nominations, including 18 Juno Awards, among the 58 nominations, 15 Grammy Award nominations, winning a Grammy Award for the best song written for a film, television or other audio-visual media. In 1992 he also won the MTV Video Music Awards, the ASCAP, the American Music Awards, three Ivor Novello Awards, and was nominated five times for the Golden Globe and three times for the Oscar Award. He is a member of the Order of Canada, Officer of the Order of Canada and Member of the Order of British Columbia for contributions to popular music and philanthropic work through its foundation, which helps to improve education for people around the world . In 1998 he was included in the Canada’s Walk of Fame and in the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame and, in April 2006, he was included in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. On January 13, 2010 he received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award for having participated in numerous concerts and charity campaigns.

On March 22, 2011, he received the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On May 7, 2015 he received the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award, in recognition of his social activism and support for various humanitarian causes, delivered during the Canadian Music Week at the Canadian Music Industry & amp; Broadcast Awards Gala.

In addition to the career of singer-songwriter and musician, from the late nineties he alternates that of a photographer. He has collaborated for Interview, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire and since 2004 is co-founder of the magazine Zoo Magazine. He also shot advertising campaigns for Guess ?, Converse, Montblanc, John Richmond, Fred Perry, Escada, Carl Zeiss, Audi, Jaguar and Opel in Germany. Born of English parents: the eldest son of Conrad and Jane Adams, he has a younger brother of a year named Bruce. From childhood he starts traveling. The father is a diplomat and, because of his job, the family is often forced to move: Austria, Portugal, Israel and many other places.

Love for music begins very early: at the age of ten, in collaboration with his uncle, he buys his first guitar. In fact, his desire was to become a drummer, but the battery his parents gave him was a very cheap tool that broke down in a couple of days. In 1973 Bryan returned to Canada, moving with his family to the city of Vancouver, where he entered the world of guitar.
